Korean bowmaker Samick is known for its superb quality. The KESHES recurve bow is connected with exactly those manufacturers and build with utmost comparable quality. This bow has a takedown feature – limb replacement is an absolute no-brainer.

And not only is the KESHES lightweighted but beautiful and extremely comfortable to hold.

Pros & Cons

  • Smooth draw
  • Takedown feature
  • Great customer service

Cons:

  • Might want to look into another arrow rest
  • Nocking points not included

First Impression

My first thoughts: This bow is the perfect choice for beginners.

It is a takedown bow so you´ll have to attach the limbs yourself. That was not a problem because the knob screws (no additional tools needed) made it an easy job!

The different woods used to manufacture this bow make it a real beauty. On top of that, they guarantee that the bow is lightweight and extremely comfortable to hold.

If you are looking to get into shooting targets than this bow is perfect – In my opinion, the 62-inch length is a little too long for hunting.

Overall, you can not do much wrong with the KESHES Recurve Bow. It is an excellent bow not only for beginners but ideal for the whole family.

A Great Beginners Takedown Bow

If you ever wanted to change the draw weight, maybe because your daughter/son has outgrown the bow a bit, having a quality takedown bow is a huge advantage – Just exchange the limbs accordingly and here we go. Draw weights up to 55 lbs. are possible (5 lbs. steps).

If you are new to archery: A takedown bow allows you to detach the bow’s limbs from the riser (the handle of the bow). In other words, you can “take down” the limbs.

The KESHES Archery Recurve Bow allows you to adjust the draw weight by utilizing different limbs. Theoretically, your whole family could use just one bow but each with their own special limbs.

This option is great for novices because they can increase the draw weight as they gain more archery skills.

A User-Friendly Bow

Another advantage of the KESHES is how fast it is to put together. You could store it literally just minutes before you decide to do some target practice. The necessary tool for an easy and safe way to string the bow is already included in this package. You do not need any extra tools!

Just screw in the limbs, get the string attached, and set the brace height to whatever is most comfortable for your needs and shooting style.

Pre-installed threaded Brass Bushings for any type of upgrades, such as Brass Plunger, Stabilizer, Sight, Quiver, Best Bow fishing reel are another great plus for the KESHES Recurve Bow (read.. best recurve bow sight).

You can add to the bow as your skills improve

What to Watch Out For

Buyers complained that the arrow rest that comes with the bow is not very durable and it may break pretty fast.

The good news is that you can easily replace it. The rest of the bow is durable, so a below-par arrow rest does NOT disqualify the KESHES Recurve Bow!

This bow may be too small for you if your draw length is over 29 inches.

The KESHES is a solid bow not only for beginners. Adjustments can be done easily as you improve your skills.

If you happen to be an expert already, and/or need a draw length of more than 29″ you might be better off with a higher-priced bow.

Summary

For new archers, the KESHES takedown recurve bow offers great value. This is the right bow to learn archery.
